San Francisco Stained Glass Works is the city’s premier studio for leaded, fused and kiln cast glass. It was founded in 1971 and is currently located in San Francisco’s vibrant SOMA district at 762 Clementina Street. We are open Tue-Sat from 10am – 6pm.
The studio has been commissioned by thousands of families to create and restore windows for their homes. We have also been commissioned by Churches, Synagogues and some commercial applications, including windows for movie sets (Mrs. Doubtfire, Horsewhisperer , Nine Months) as well as a commemorative panel in San Francisco’s War Memorial Herbst Pavilion.
In keeping with our studio’s tradition of participation in the San Francisco Community, we have donated one of the three windows that we were commissioned for the Chenery House, the future official residence of the Mayor of San Francisco.
Aside from our commission work, we offer classes in Stained Glass and Fused Glass to the public. We have taught thousands of people the craft of creating leaded glass windows.
Many of our students have continued their enrollment for years and have produced many advanced and technically complex projects. We strive to ensure that our students enjoy the creative process and experience the satisfaction that results from producing original glass art.
We also offer studio space for rent by the hour, day, week, and month. For further
information regarding space rental, please call us at 415-626-3592
